Ρομποτικές επεμβάσεις Γενικής Χειρουργικής στο Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus

Στις 16 Μαΐου, 2017έγιναν με απόλυτη επιτυχία οι δύο πρώτες Ρομποτικές επεμβάσεις Γενικής Χειρουργικής στο Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. Πρόκειται για μια επέμβαση Ρομποτικής Θολοπλαστικής κατά NISSEN σε άτομο με βαριάς μορφής Γαστροοισοφαγικής παλινδρόμησης και για Ρομποτική αποκατάσταση ευμεγέθους βουβωνοκήλης σε ασθενή 86 ετών. Και οι δύο ασθενείς έλαβαν εξιτήριο την επόμενη μέρα. Το Νοσοκομείο διαθέτει το Ρομποτικό χειρουργικό Σύστημα Da Vinci Si, το οποίο δίνει την δυνατότητα στον χειρουργό να εκτελεί χειρουργικούς χειρισμούς με ακρίβεια, αναίμακτα και αποτελεσματικά. Η μέθοδος έχει εξαιρετική εφαρμογή σε όλες σχεδόν τις επεμβάσεις της Γενικής Χειρουργικής. Την Χειρουργική ομάδα αποτελούν η χειρουργός Δρ. Ελένη Καραφώκα Μαύρου και η χειρουργός Δρ. Διονυσία Κελγιώργη.
